Adirondack Experience announces autumn 2026 event lineup

Adirondack Experience, the Museum on Blue Mountain Lake (ADKX), invites visitors of all ages to celebrate autumn in the center of the Adirondacks with an exciting roster of fall programs and community events. From traditional artisan craft showcases to interactive educational experiences and festive evening fun, ADKX’s autumn calendar highlights the rich history, culture and outdoor spirit of the region.

  • Homeschool Day, Sept. 23 – Tailored specifically for homeschooled students and their families, Homeschool Day offers hands-on educational activities and interactive presentations. Students can engage directly with Adirondack history, ecology and heritage through age-appropriate programming. Free for homeschool families.

  • FallFest, Oct. 4 – The ADKX welcomes families and visitors to celebrate the peak of autumn at FallFest. This daylong celebration features traditional fall games, craft activities, cider pressing demos and tastings, live music and family-friendly entertainment surrounded by scenic mountain views. Free admission is offered to all year-round Adirondack Park residents for this event.

  • LumberDAX Breakfast, Oct. 11 – Fuel up for autumn with a hearty, traditional breakfast celebrating the iconic heritage of Adirondack lumberjacks. Enjoy hearty fare inspired by Adirondack logging camp kitchens, with breakfast specials served all day from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Lakeview Café. After you’ve had your fill, stay a while and enjoy live music by Adirondack folk musicians Josh and Ashley Clevenstine from 11 a.m. – noon and again from 1 – 2 p.m.

  • Murder Mystery Dinner, Oct. 24 – An immersive evening of intrigue and dining, the Murder Mystery Dinner invites guests to step into a captivating historical whodunit. Set within the museum’s historic atmosphere, attendees will enjoy a multicourse meal while uncovering clues, interacting with characters and solving a suspenseful mystery.

About ADKX

Adirondack Experience, the Museum on Blue Mountain Lake (ADKX), accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, shares the history and culture of the Adirondack region through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities and culturally rich collections in more than 20 historic and contemporary buildings on a 121-acre campus in the heart of the Adirondacks.

The museum is supported in part with donations from the general public, with some general operating support made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
