Perth Vol. Fire Co. Annual Cornhole Tournament coming soon
On Sept. 19, the Perth Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting their annual Cornhole tournament. The tournament will benefit the fire company, and in addition, a portion of the proceeds will be going to the Denise Helie Stewart Memorial Scholarship Fund. Denise, a member of our community and a friend to the department, passed away this year after a short battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
We are asking our community to consider sponsorship opportunities during this event. In return, each sponsor business, civic group and individual will be provided with a sign with their name and logo and any other information that is appropriate. Each sponsor will be recognized and advertised on the department’s website and social media page.
If you are interested in this opportunity, all checks can be made out to Perth Volunteer Fire Company (“Annual Cornhole Tournament” in the memo).
This tournament is an excellent opportunity for community members, local businesses and our first responders (EMS, law enforcement and fire department) to come together for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie and community building. We anticipate a day filled with exciting matches, delicious food and great company. All skill levels are welcome, and we encourage your firefighters to participate and enjoy the fun.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the bags fly at 10 a.m. The registration fee is $25/person. Register by Sept. 12.
The Perth Firehouse is located at 4080 State Highway 30, Perth, NY.
Confirm your participation by contacting Assistant Chief John Gorzycki at 518.866.1606 (call or text) or jgorzycki@hotmail.com.
“We are looking forward to your positive response and to an exciting day of competition and fellowship. Thank you for considering our invitation. Together, let’s make this event a memorable one for all involved,” Gorzycki said.
