Summer means baseball and softball, and it also means the height of grilling season. This year, the “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.” brand, funded by the beef checkoff, is stepping up to the plate as a proud partner of the Little League® World Series – a perfect pairing of beef and America’s favorite pastime.
A fan favorite at the ballpark and at home, beef makes dinner easy for busy sports families. As the official sponsor of the Perfect Home Plate with Little League, “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.” will provide families with balanced, delicious recipe inspiration designed to fuel young athletes from the classroom to the practice field – and all the way through game day.
With the Little League World Series hosted in Williamsport, PA, the Pennsylvania Beef Council (PBC) is playing a leading role in amplifying this national partnership at the local level. PBC launched targeted promotions including a billboard along Route 22 heading into Williamsport, four digital displays and a fabric tension display at Harrisburg International Airport. Running for four weeks, these placements are expected to generate approximately 1.1 million impressions.
To further highlight beef’s role in a healthy diet, PBC’s on-staff dietitian, Beth Stark, MS, RD, appeared in a live cooking segment on “Good Day PA,” while Annessa Chumbley, RD, will join PHL 17 virtually. Additionally, registered dietitian and social media influencer Sarah Schlichter, MS, RD, will share beef’s nutritional benefits through social media content and a podcast episode.
“Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.” also hosted a special meal for more than 240 participants of the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport. This beef-powered dinner brought together athletes from around the globe, providing them with high-quality protein and essential nutrients to fuel their performance. Pennsylvania beef producers and PBC staff proudly assisted at the event.
Beef isn’t just a home run for flavor – it’s packed with the nutrition young athletes need for growth and development. With high-quality protein and 10 essential nutrients, beef helps families keep their players fueled and ready for the game. Through this partnership with Little League, “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.” delivers both the taste and nutrition to keep busy families on track during the season.
