Master Gardeners offer webinar on ‘Growing Vegetables in Small Places’

Join the Lake County Master Gardeners on as they present a free webinar on April 15 at 7 p.m., given by author C.L. Fornari on “Growing Vegetables in Small Spaces.”

Through this webinar you will discover how much food you can raise when you get creative about the space you have. From raised beds and Smart Pots to incorporating vegetables in existing landscapes, hear how to make the most of the space you have. Learn which vegetables offer the longest periods of harvest so you will make the most of your space!

Fornari is a plant geek and artist who got pulled into garden communications in 1995. She is the author of eight books including “Coffee for Roses,” “The Cocktail Hour Garden” and “Sand & Soil: Creating Beautiful Gardens on Cape Cod & the Islands.” These books and others are all fully illustrated with Fornari’s photographs.

Fornari is a regular columnist for Garden Center Magazine. She has also written for Angie’s List Magazine, Prime Time Magazine, Fine Gardening, Coastal Home, Country Gardens and American Nurseryman. “GardenLine,” Fornari’s two-hour live radio program, was heard on Saturday mornings on WXTK for over 22 years. Starting in 2025, she will be broadcasting “The Garden Lady” on WCAI, the Cape and Islands NPR station. For two years she was also the host of a live call-in show on WRKO, and she was a regular contributor to “The Cultivated Gardener,” heard on NPR stations nationwide.

Along with Ellen Zachos, Fornari was the co-host of the “Plantrama” podcast for six years. “Plantrama” was given the highest award, a Gold Medal, in the podcast category, from GardenComm International in 2019.
